Dwight is way to overrated, Dirk, Duncan, KG> Dwight? read info?
-To answer, just make comments about the info/truth below.
Seriously this is out of control. Dwight is way too overrated by the media and since the majority of the people on this site are 10-13, they don’t realize how overrated and limited he is, they just see cool dunks and figure he’s better than someone. To say Dwight is better than hall of fame superstar mvp players that carry franchises like Dirk, Duncan, KG is disrespectful.
-Dwight has no post game, dirk/kg/duncan all do.
-Dwight has no hands and is clumsy. Dirk/kg/duncan all are skilled and more developed.
-Dwight can’t create his own shot and depends on a guard to get him the ball were he needs. KG/DUNCAN’dirk all can create better than him. They are all better passers than him. Dwight can only dominate slow people or weak people. Players like perkins/gasol/bynum all stopped him and held him to 15ppg in the playoffs. Dwight can’t pass, doesn’t finish good in traffic and gets stripped alot. His basketball IQ is not that good. And the other three all shoot freethrows better than him.
Dwight gets all these blocks, yes but KG still impacts a toat lgame defensively better than Dwight, KG is a better individual defender, better passing lane defender, he can gaurd face up player better, he makes other players better defenders with his defensive communication. thats why when he got hurt the celtics looked like a completely different team. they allow 89points when he plays but when he doesn’t they allow 100+ and the bulls and magic got whatever they wanted against boston in the playoffs. KG impacts a game more than dwight defensively.
All the little kids/trolls got this question deleted because they can’t accept someone actually using their head.

Dwight is overrated and not a top 5 player. I don;t know why ppl think top5 means the 5 most exciting players.

EDIT: Someone even asked who’s better Dwight or David robinson. WTF.. this Dwight thing is getting out of control for real.
EDIT: also dirk/kg/duncan can all score outside the paint area where as Dwight is limited to the paint. I don’t know why i keep trying to teach these kids because they never get it. They are too caught up in all the HYPE/MEDIA/DUNKS.
Khai: Dwight just pushes people and dunks. Dirk has actual post moves, with turn around jumoers, spin moves, up and unders and more.
EDIT: THAT IS my point people. people say he’s a top5 player and say he’s better than those three. that is why i make these comparisons. Thats why Dwight is overrated.
I haven’t been watching basketball for that long but from what I’ve seen, I can agree with you. People were raving about Dwight Howard but he did not impress me during the Playoffs at all. Media promotes dunking too much.
If someone can’t dunk, they are automatically a bad player and if they don’t dunk enough, they aren’t very good.
What is wrong with that statement? Little kids are losing sight of the actual game and are getting caught up in the hype.

I’m a die-hard lakers fan but i think that dwight is an amazing player. he is so powerful (like shaq in his prime) that if he isn’t double teamed, he will easily score, if he is double teamed, he has great shooters on his team to help him out. and you have to remember how young dwight is, the other guys you compared him to are veterans who were nowhere near as good as dwight at that age

Well it’s not fair to compare Dwight Howard to the more veteran players like Duncan, Garnett and Nowitzki because Howard only still has a shorter career than those 3 players. What more being compared to the retired ones?

dwight howard with a bad team lacking shooters wouldnt average more than 15 a game why. he is similar to nash he flourishes in his sytem which makes him look more dominant than he is. the lakers a team with gasol and bynum which is decent post defense would get murdered by the likes of tim duncan kg due to there array of moves. kobe lebron wade brandon roy even carter and joe johnson and so many others would own no matter what situation they are in can you say the same for howard i dont think so.put him on a team thats lacking shooters and other near all star players he would be shut down very often.even shaq had moves but he was stronger and bigger than howard and just as athletic dwight is basically a worse version of shaq that needs moves to dominate like shaq.

He’s like a young shaq almost but his offense is pretty limited.he makes up for it with the amount of rebounds he gets and the amount of blocks he gets too.the guy has had games where he had 20 rebounds before,quite a few times too.He’s not in the top 5 offensive players but if we talking about the top 5 DEFENSIVE players then he’s in there.remember,he did win defensive player of the year

hes better then KG as an all around player atm. He is very young and has plenty of room to grow. He is working on the post work. And yes Duncan is the best Power Forward ever, don’t compare young players to hall of famers.

Your comparing a kid with about 5 years in the NBA with a vet of 11 years in the NBA. Of course Nowitzki is better. But Nowitzki never had a post game until about 2005-2006 season. he came in as a jump shooter with a killer fade away and great three point shooting. Howard will develop into a great post player if he puts the work in. I remember before Nowitzki was a 7 footer that was scared to take it to the whole and always settled for the jump shot. It was actually avery johnson that talked him into developing a post game during 2004-2005 season.

Dwight is overrated, and it’s mainly the media. They hype every player to be the next person that rules over their basketball positions. Everyone says, "Oh, Dwight is the next Shaq but better, he’s the best today, he’s a monster, etc." Dirk, TD, KG, are all easily better than Dwight. Dwight holds the ball way to low when he posts up that’s why in the finals he would get stripped often or caught on a foul. On a post up fade way, no one is going to block Dirk. KG has a great inside game with his pump fakes and that little fade away he’s got. I don’t think I even have to explain TD. At this point, Dwight is really overrated.
