if i sign up to google adsense with my website do i still hav to pay google adwords to get traffic?

Adsense means they put ads on your site and if people click then they pay YOU a small sum.
Adwords means that you invent an advertisement of just 3 lines and it appears on the right hand side of the page (according to a keyword list you’ve provided)
Then when people click on the ad they go to your landing page (you’ve specified) and you pay google for that traffic.

No, provided that you’re a publisher just wanting to make money by posting adsense ads on your side. As of this writing, google adsense is a stand alone google service, with no affiliation to adwords. Hope this helps.

No You dont have to pay for Google Adwords! but if you want to get traffic to make money from your googl adsense you can use adwords.
