Does anyone know how to convert a google calendar file to a .dba or .vcs? I am trying to upload my google calendar to my Palm Desktop.

I built a new web site some time ago. And installed google Analytics. I see I do not get many visitors to my web site. I`ve read a bunch of writing articles and doing stuff, but would like to focus on activities that can really increase my traffic.

Are there any free ways to get more web site traffic? I can work on it a few hours per day. Please suggest what works for you, and how many visitors I should expect.

Do not rely only on search engine traffic. You need to drive traffic to your site. Now there are many, many ways to do this.

First Article Marketing. Many people do not utilize this, and it is extra and it is free. Write some articles on niche topics and have a link back to your site in resource box.

If you become very good at writing, find out which high traffic blogs will accept your content. This way, you can get lots of traffic faster and the best of all, in most cases it will not cost you much.

You can also do blog commenting and drive traffic that way.

You will have to add the opening and closing tags to the above meta tags.

* ALT tags. ALT tags refer to the text that would appear every time the mouse cursor would pass through an image. Your ALT tags should include your keywords.

I have found that many webmasters don`t bother with these, which is a huge mistake as the spiders can`t read what a picture is about. If your competition isn`t using them, than you have a big advantage.

* Page titles. Page titles are the captions that appear at the very top of your web page. Make sure that each web page in your website would have a different title that will include the appropriate keywords that you have listed in your meta tags.

* Focus. Remember, search engines will crawl through your website per page. Starting in the upper left corner working their way down. Each page is a different project altogether. Focus is the key. Ensure that each web page of yours would focus on a particular keyword or key phrase. If there is an article in that page, make sure that the article will only discuss and include one keyword or key phrase from the list you have made. Also, it would greatly help if you would name the page file in a manner that would include the keyword or key phrase it is focused on.

For example thisisyourwebsite.com/thisisyourkeyword.html is a good page filename that would help boost your SEO efforts.

google wants you to use a sitemap and they have made it quite easy for you to integrate it into your websites. Take some time to learn about sitemaps and use them.

Following these guidelines would help you a lot in securing a favorable position in search engine results pages. This in turn would guarantee for you a sustainable and sufficient volume of traffic that would make your website a genuine success.

I was stupid and fell for it and have already been charged 60 dollars on my debit. I will speak to my bank and request a new debit card tomorrow, but for now I need to cancel it before I am charged again. I’ve found a number of "customer service" lines to call, but I don’t know which one will help me.

Call them all until you get the right one. There is a lot of junk like that out there, so it’s important to do some due diligence before you give anyone your money. Especially when it’s 100% online and you can’t actually speak with a real person first.

Bear in mind that changing web pages and directory names may lose you your link popularity statistics or google Page Rankings - search engines will index your changed web page and directory name as a new one and dump everything associated with your previous website. The best approach is to retain your URL page and write new content for it. If you have no option but remove or rename the web page, redirect the old one to your new URL.

— Link Popularity Issues —

If you own a number of domains, there will be a strong temptation to link your websites together, without regard to content and keyword focus. One problem with this approach is that you most likely house all your websites on the same server - search engines will group your web sites into the same C IP class which will start their spam radars pinging.

Another tactic is linking websites with a diverse keyword focus; the downside to this is that you may lose any linking gains through unrelated keywords. At the same time, getting unusually high numbers of inbound links with exactly the same keywords can also spell trouble. If you make use of link exchanges, paid links or other sources, watch out for those with unusually high keyword repetitions in the anchor text so as to avoid the spam detectors.

Are there any downsides to getting a number in an area code other than my own?

You dont have to have a google Voice number in your area code. Unless, the only people that will be calling you are in your area code and you dont want them to have to call you long distance.

When someone calls your Google Voice number, it automatically forwards the calls to whatever numbers you have associated with the account so that you don’t have to give out your private phone number.
