How Do I Get to the Front Page of Search Engines With Links?

Using links as a way to get your serps increase is a positive thing. The question that many people ask, though, is just how many links will you need to have this happen? Is it possible to have to many links? Link business is the use of links to build up traffic to the webpage as hence as to build it could be that your serps. You will need to do both to accomplish success. If you want to increase it could be that your search engine rank, achieve on it could be that your links.

But, how many is to many?

There is no real set denomination. It’s not having ten or twenty or increasing it to a a one hundred. When analyzing links it is more about the correct kind of links coming to the webpage. As an instance, you should consider these two factors, the first is reciprocal links and lets not forget about links that point from other sites are one way links. One way links generate traffic to your site without having the visitors click away with additional links on your internet site. Link exchanging, when grouped correctly and applied in the right overall manner can help as well.

Beyond this, you will want to attempt with having good constitution links. The links would be better if they are in the same theme in some way to the webpage. For many this will mean finding webmasters that offers similar, but not the same content as your site.

The number of links you should express pointing to the webpage, the perfect amount to go with is as much as you possibly can do. Try to be sure that they are good, well researched links, and not any old type of link. Make sure they offer for both reciprocal and one way links. Use them properly and it could be that your business really can improve from them.

How to Raise your Rankings in the Search Engines With Some Basic SEO Search Engine Optimization Tips

I don’t know how many times I’ve been asked. “Many People ask How do I get traffic to my website?”

To best discuss this topic I should break this down into categories

1. Title Tags
The title Should contain keywords and keyword phrases that is important to your site. Our recommended maximum number of characters for this tag is 60.
Also when counting your characters remember that spaces are considered as well.
Titles should appeal to the reader otherwise even a top position will lose a lot of clicks.
For example, “shoes, nike shoes, best shoes, review shoes,” is unlikely to induce a click. What may induce a click would be like:
Shoes - Find out the latest styles on name brand shoes.

2. Description
The maximum number of characters I recommend for this Tag is 150. Any longer than this and it will only be cut off and may count against
your site being listed high in the search engines. Try to repeat your keywords that you used in your title in a proper sentence and in 3rd party. Advoid I, Me, Myself etc

3. Keywords
keywords My recommended maximum number of characters for this tag is 250. Any more than that may be considered spamming. Keep your keywords focused upon what your site is about.
Don’t think that if I use an assortment of different keywords that your site will be a seller. Targeted marketing is associated with your keywords.

4. Keyword Nesting
keyword nesting is nesting your top 5 most important keywords in the html page that the public will see. I would recommend using the keywords that you’ve used in your title, description.

5. Head Tags
Head Tags should be a repeat of your title tag. Most webmasters put their head tag right after the body tag.

6. Anchor Links
Anchor Links is one of the most important html tags that your site needs to gain search engine page rank
especially in google and msn.

Which Search Engines Work Best? A Pay Per Click Study

Let’s face it, most people don’t track their advertising at all and therefore don’t know where their leads or sales are coming from. I’ve talked with dozens of business owners about which online advertising vehicles work best for them. What I usually hear is that they are impressed with the sites that give them the highest number of clicks. Sure, clicks are encouraging, but do they tell the whole story?

No, the number of clicks or the cost per click (average CPC) does not tell the whole story. Not even close. At the end of the day, it’s not how much you spend per click that really counts - what’s important is how much you spend PER CONVERSION (a truly qualified prospect). And finally, of course, it’s the cost per sale that really matters.

I have been doing pay per click campaigns for some time now. The following are my findings after testing pay-per-click campaigns from September 2006 through February 2007 on the following search engines: Google, Yahoo, MSN, Mamma, Lycos, 7Search and GoClick.

When testing, I chose the same keywords for each campaign and used separate but exact duplicate lead capture pages. This allowed me to see which keyword buys would give me the highest % of qualified prospects. My focus was the “Cost of Conversion” which was the percentage of people who requested more information about my program (a good prospect). My goal was to get clear indication as to the quality of the traffic coming from each search engine.

By taking the average cost-per-click and looking at the % of prospects that requested more information (Name, Phone # & E-mail Address), it gives me the real cost of a qualified lead. Following are the results:

7Search -$0.67 (CPC) $4.04 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
Google -$0.83 (CPC) $5.46 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
MSN- $0.70 (CPC) $6.30 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
Mamma -$0.34 (CPC) $7.39 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
Yahoo -$0.81 (CPC) $8.45 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
Lycos -$0.12 (CPC) $17.14 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
Go Click -$0.28 (CPC) $20 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)

For a spreadsheet view, follow this link http://www.myedconline.com/Adstudy.html

The study was conducted over several months. After trying to tweak the Lycos and Go Click campaign for about a month, I decided to drop them both. It is also important to note that my conversions decreased over time. This underscores the importance of changing the look and feel of the lead capture page from time to time. After fine tuning these campaigns, I must say that both 7Search and google are my favorites. When looking at actual sales, Google does beat 7Search by a 30% margin (which means that the actual cost per sale is about the same - not pictured on chart above), but both work extremely well.

As you can see, if I just looked at the cost per click but ignored conversions, I could have wasted a lot of money on the wrong vehicles.

The lesson here is - clicks are good, but conversion and sales are even better! Take the time to gather deeper information on all aspects of your advertising vehicles. If you do, your marketing dollars will bring you five to ten times better returns.

SEO - How To Make Google Trustrank Trust You

A discussion of Google Trust Rank and a look at the things you can do to earn creditability in the eyes of Google TrustRank.

The Google TrustRank is just one big algorithm that relies on a number of secret factors when it comes to elevating your pages in the search engines. However most Internet gurus will tell you that there are certain things that you can do to greatly increase your chances of being put in a more honorable spot by the famous search engine.

First of all you might try registering your domain name for a long time. That shows Google how serious you are about getting into business. Register your name for ten years and see what happens. A website that’s registered for a long time is probably going to be given priority over one that is only registered for a year.

Secondly make sure you are working with an SSL certificate on your site. This also tells Google that you are a serious merchant that cares what happens to its customers and that intends to treat anyone who visits the site fairly. It also helps to list a real mailing address with the site as opposed to a Post Office Box. Too many scam artists use P. O. Boxes so Google may ignore your site if it sees that you don’t have a “real office.” Also be liberal with your contact information on the site. This gives you credibility with TrustRank.

Yet another tip for gaining credibility with TrustRank is to only link with sites that Google might consider reputable. These are known as authority sites. If you link to crap then Google might see your site as crap too. This would be a big mistake. You are better to have a few quality links instead of scads of less then respected links even though internet experts will often tell you that the more links that you have on your page will help boost your rankings in the search engine pages.

The 5 Myths About Google Pagerank

The recent Toolbar RageRank update once again has generated a lot of discussion in the SEO community. Webmasters report their websites receiving not much more traffic despite the increased visible PageRank. In numerous forum threads people question the reliability of toolbar values. By unveiling the following five myths I hope to answer to some of the uncertainties caused by this update.

1. PageRank values range from 0 to 10.

While some people believe that PageRank is an integer number or at least converge to an integer after intensive recursive calculations, actually it is a floating point number. Google rounds up the real value to the closest integer and puts it on the 0-10 scale which is displayed in your browser toolbar.

2. PageRank value displayed in the toolbar is the one used to rank the results.

As you might have noticed, the toolbar value is updated every few months with no regular intervals. In the present time Google continuously calculates and updates PageRank so that sometimes actual PageRank and its toolbar values can differ. The toolbar value should be considered not as a current rank but as a level your page has reached by the time of the latest toolbar update.

3. PageRank is the primary factor to rank the search results.

Not exactly. PageRank was the backbone of the Google success as a search engine because of its integrity, ability to use the unique democratic nature of the web and hyperlinks, and relatively high immunity to abuse. But as years passed the Google technology became far more sophisticated. Now Google uses a cloud of factors to rank its search results. Some of them are query specific (keyword saturation of the page copy and the backlinks’anchor text) and some of them are domain specific (domain age, keywords in domain name, and of course PageRank). Nobody outside the google’s offices knows the actual weight of each factor and it is quite possible that PageRank is no longer the primary one.

4. Google toolbar shows an increase of PageRank for my pages. My traffic is going to skyrocket!

Wrong. There won’t be any sudden traffic increase after toolbar upgrades any more. As I said before, the continuous calculation and update of the Google’s internal PageRank means that the rankings also adjust gradually as your pages get or lose backlinks. So the toolbar upgrade itself will not cause any changes in search results.

5. Toolbar PageRank is of no use, it is just for entertainment.

This is allegedly a quote by one of the Google representatives. This is only partially true. The reason why Google doesn’t show the actual PageRank any more is that there have been repeated attempts by hackers to access an exploit these data. Since 2004 the toolbar values updates are no longer synchronized with the actual rankings changes, and therefore should not to be considered too seriously in terms of SEO. However toolbar ranks still remains the easiest and most obvious way to evaluate the quality of a page and millions of web users regularly judge websites according to what Google toolbar shows them.
